The Hospitality House of the Boone Area, Inc. is a private, non-profit crisis intervention agency that assists adults and families in homeless situations. We have provided shelter and services to the homeless for 24 years.

Homelessness affects people of all ages and circumstances: men, women, children, elderly, veterans, those living on limited resources due to low wages, under and unemployed, those with disabilities, some with chronic illnesses, those with mental illness and addiction disorders.

The Hospitality House is the only homeless shelter in a seven-county area including Ashe, Avery, Allegheny, Mitchell, Wilkes, Watauga, and Yancey. There are 1,069 homeless individuals on a given night in this seven mountain county region.

upcoming fundraising events

Seersucker and Sundress Cocktail
NC Mountain Boys (and Girls) announce the first annual Seersucker and Sundress Cocktail, an event benefiting Hospitality House. The event will be held on Saturday, August 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock, NC. Guests are encouraged to dress in seersucker attire for men and sundresses for women. Proceeds from the ticket sales (cost is $35 per ticket) will go directly to Hospitality House.

Tickets can be purchased online at www.seersuckerandsundress.com beginning Monday, June 21Tickets can also be purchased in person at Meadowbrook Inn - 711 Main Street, Blowing Rock beginning Monday, June 29.

Casa Rustica and RedTail Mountain 3rd annual Charity Golf Tournament to benefit Hospitality House
Join Casa Rustica and RedTail Mountain for a fun-filled day of golf and philanthropy. Enjoy a challenging course, beautiful scenery and great prizes on Thursday, August 27 beginning at noon. Food, appetizers and drinks provided by Casa Rustica during and after the round. Cost is $100 per player or $400 for teams of four. The format will be Four Man Scramble/Captains Choice. Annual Food and Shelter for Hope Luncheon
Interested in learning more about Hospitality House? Join us for our annual luncheon on August 20 beginning at noon at the Broyhill Inn & Conference Center. The luncheon is free and will last one hour. For more information, contact Jill Landers at 262.3461.
